A New Zealand Scene
Although I lived in NZ for a full year, I visited the South Island for only three weeks of that time. The South Island, and especially Milford Sound in the Fjordlands, was gorgeous! This is the approach to the southern alps, around the corner is Mt. Cook, where Sir Edward Hilary trained for his Mt Everest ascent. This painting, “A Magnificent Splendor” is now in the collection of a New Zealander.
