Meeting Adjourned
Titled because it looks like one sheep is adjourning a gathering, this work actually depicts one ewe calling to her bleating lamb. Some think she looks to be ‘singing’. These ewes had been separated from their lambs for the purpose of shearing their wool. They were carefully rejoined with their lambs shortly after shearing ended. This watercolor won second place in an art show’s miniature division in Pukekohe, New Zealand in 2008. Prints are available.
